Exeter Social Anxiety Group
Meet Times:
Every 2nd Tuesday of the month from 7.30pm to 9pm
About the Group:
Small and friendly local group which aims to provide a safe space where socially anxious people can
meet and spend constructive time talking about their social anxiety.
The group is friendly and supportive and participants can say as much or as little as they need.
Everyone understands people are nervous and its ok to come along and just see what you think
The group is not a therapy group.
Its just a supportive environment to share our experiences of social anxiety.
We help each other by supportive feedback and discussion about handling the situations we find uncomfortable.
We talk about new ways of thinking and behaving that are often prompted from ideas within books like Gillian Butler’s “Overcoming Social Anxiety and Shyness”
Location:
The "bridge collective" rooms in the small alley about 100 yds along King St.
(King St is on the left as you go down Fore St in Exeter).

When you get to the right alley you will see a small "A" board in the alley saying "Bridge Collective".

Facilities:
Toilets are available. There are two rooms and if the group reaches 6 or more we tend to split into 2 groups of 3.
Group Size:
Typically just 3 or 4 though we have been up to 8 or 9 at times.
The group is mixed male and female with typical ages from 20 to 50 (any age is welcome)
Costs:
No charge other than a small 50p contribution if you have tea or coffee
